Grammar Galaxy is a space-themed learning game where 4th grade students practice identifying nouns in a fun and interactive way. Players must tap all the nouns floating through space while avoiding incorrect words to power Earth's defenses against an alien invasion.

This game was developed as a course project at the University of North Texas to demonstrate the principles of Game-Based Learning (GBL) in action. Designed for both engagement and instruction, it blends simple mechanics with grammar practice, embedded feedback, and educational scaffolding.

Features:

  • Interactive tutorial with Commander Lexi

  • Fast-paced noun targeting gameplay

  • Game over after 3 incorrect taps

  • Victory screen with a grammar recap

  • Built-in crosshair for immersive targeting

Learning Focus:

A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea — players practice by identifying the correct words in real time.

Developed in Unity 6.1 and exported for WebGL, Grammar Galaxy demonstrates how educational objectives can be built directly into gameplay for younger learners.
